Coucher de soleil au dessus du port Dienville, les pontons sont encore vides, la saison nautique commencera dans quelques semaines. Puis deux photos prises en se rapprochant du lac Amance en allant vers l'Ouest.

Sunset over the harbour of Fienville (Port-Dienville), the empty landing stage are waiting for the nautical season and the motor boats. Then two pics taken while I was walking to the West towards the lake Amance on the 5th of March.

Abbaye de Basse-Fontaine

L'Abbaye de Basse-Fontaine (ordre des Prémontrés) est située sur le territoire de Brienne-la-Vieille. Elle est accessible à partir d'une allée partant du Château de Brienne le Château ou depuis Radonvilliers en franchissant l'Aube à gué quand la rivière est en basses eaux.

The Abbey of Basse-Fontaine (ordre des Prémontrés) is located in Brienne-la-Vieille. You can reach it by walking along an alley starting from the Castle of Brienne le Château or by crossing the river Aube when the level is low from the bank of Radonvilliers.

La lettre G initiale de "geese" ( oies en anglais).

Des oies sauvages au lever du jour sur le lac du Der.

Des oies domestiques au sud de la Suède à Vemmenhög, la maison de Nils Holgersson le héros du livre de Selma Lagerloff : "Le merveilleux voyage de Nils Holgersson à travers la Suède".

J'ai appris à lire avec ce livre et le mariage de ma fille s'est tenu dans cette maison en 2002.

Malheureusement cette maison a été détruite il y a quelques années par un pyromane.

Today it's G like goose, geese in a glowing sunrise and Nils HolGersson.

First some wild geese in the sunset over the lake Der.

Then the house of Nils Holgersson the character of the book written by Selma Lagerloff " The wonderful trip of Nils Holgersson across Sweden". I learnt to read with this book and the marriage of my daughter Anna took place in this mansion in the year 2002.

This house has been destroyed on purpose by a fire some years after

Le moulin de Boulaincourt

Le moulin de Boulaincourt était proche de l'Abbaye aux Planches de l'Ordre des Prémontrés construite au 12ème siècle par les Comtes de Brienne à Longeville sur la Laines (52). Les planches étaient disposées sur les terres marécageuses pour pouvoir marcher.

Near the mill of Boulaincourt was the Abbey "aux Planches" ( of the planks) in the village of Longeville sur la Laines. It was built by the Comte of Brienne on the 12th century. The planks were used in order to walk upon the marsh.

La médiathèque de Bar sur Aube : hôtel de Brienne

La bibliothèque municipale de Bar sur Aube a été ouverte en 1884 dans les locaux de l'Hôtel de Ville. En 1989 elle a été déplacée dans un magnifique hôtel particulier datant du 16ème au 18ème siècle : l'Hôtel de Brienne.

En 2005 elle s'est agrandie et transformée en médiathèque.

The public Library of Bar sur Aube was opened in 1884 inside the City hall. In 1989 it was moved into a very fine Hôtel de Brienne ( 1-th to 18 th century) near the chuch Saint-Pierre.

In 2005, it was enlarged and became a multi-media library.

Renoir et Essoyes

Chaque mois un thème est proposé pour un ensemble de blogs. Le thème de mars 2008 est : Graffiti et art mural.
Je propose deux photos prises dans le village de Essoyes qui expose de grandes reproductions de tableaux du peintre Auguste RENOIR, sur le premier se trouve son fils le futur cinéaste Jean RENOIR.

So I post two pics taken in the village of ESSOYES. Two huge reproductions of Auguste RENOIR's paintings. On the first painting, the baby is one of its sons, the movie maker Jean RENOIR. (La partie de campagne, La règle du jeu, La belle équipe...)
